Jasmine Harrison RVN

Jasmine Harrison RVN

Jasmine qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with Myerscough College in 2018 after working in the Veterinary industry as a Kennel Assistant for a number of years prior to her enrolment. Jasmine has has previously worked in General/First opinion Practice but always had a passion for exotic patients and wildlife. As a result, Jasmine is undertaking the Certificate in Nursing Exotic species and Wildlife.

As a child Jasmine was obsessed with animals and as a teenager Jasmine started surrounding herself with them, having cats, rats, mice, snakes, ferrets, hamsters, invertebrates and dwarf puffer fish to care for.
Working in the veterinary industry Jasmine also found a niche rehabilitating bats, caring for them when they were injured and brought into practice and releasing them back into the wild, whilst identifying the species and compiling the data so there could be a better understanding of them.

Before working in a veterinary setting Jasmine worked at Jersey Zoo in the education department where her passion for wildlife and the environment really ignited.

In her spare time, Jasmine likes to hang out with her rescue cat Harry,  four snakes Strawberry, Aubergine, Shiitake and Taro and recently rescued Hornfrog Avacado. She  also indulges in arts and crafts, caring for her house plants and is aiming to make her garden a bee friendly/wildlife haven.
