Vet and Veterinary Nurse Students

We welcome both Veterinary students (Year 4 and up) and Veterinary Nurse students.

If you would like to take a walk on the wild side and experience working with scaly, furry and feathered pets then please complete the below form. We aim to respond within 14 working days.

We are now taking bookings for 2027 (2026 is fully booked).

Please note

• We treat cats, rabbits and exotics species.
• We only allow one vet student and one nurse student at a time.
• We do not accept bookings from secondary/high school students (sorry for any inconvenience caused)
• We require a minimum of 2 weeks experience to be booked, this is to ensure that you gain a wide range of experience in our clinic and to allow you to develop your skills.
• We do not accept bookings during August, the two weeks over Christmas and Easter, nor any weeks that contain bank holidays.
• We strongly recommend booking in advance, most placements are booked in 14-18months in advance.
  
  

Accommodation

Unfortunately, we cannot offer accommodation for students visiting the clinic.

Please be aware when booking accommodation online to ensure you use a reputable site, we have unfortunately had a few students who have been scammed by third parties whilst booking accommodation.

 There are a couple of local hotels, which offer basic accommodation, but please read the small print prior to booking as some have limited facilities.

We do have facilities for communal use including a small freezer, fridge, air fryer, microwave and kettle.
